Putnam Man Faces Felony Drugged-Driving Charge
He was stopped on the Sprain Brook Parkway.

MOUNT PLEASANT, NY — On March 20, 2017, New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested 30-year-old Carlos A. Perez of Lake Peekskill, New York, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, a Class E Felony.
Troopers stopped to assist the Town of Greenburgh Police Department with a traffic stop on the Sprain Brook Parkway. The driver of the vehicle, Perez, was stopped for erratic operation and police concluded he was impaired by drugs. Perez was then evaluated by a State Police Drug Recognition Expert.
He was charged with felony DWAI Drugs when a criminal history check revealed a previous DWI related conviction from 2011. Perez was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Mount Pleasant Court on April 13.
