Putnam Sheriff: Woman Shot Up in Deli Parking Lot
She faces charges for drug possession and possession of a hypodermic needle.

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Patterson woman on drug-related charges.
At about 12:30 a.m. Sept. 9, the sheriff’s department got a report of a woman using a hypodermic needle to inject drugs in the parking lot of Sauro’s Deli on Route 311 in Patterson.
While enroute, Deputy Sheriff Thomas Lee encountered a woman who matched the description of the suspect walking on Route 311 near Route 292; conducted a field interview; and concluded that she was the person reported to have been using drugs.

Police said the woman, identified as Michele M. Finer, 24, of 21 Mountain View Road, Patterson, was in possession of quantities of controlled substances, marijuana and a hypodermic needle. The deputy arrested Finer and charged her with four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a misdemeanor; one count of Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument, a misdemeanor; and Unlawful Possesion of Marijuana, a violation.
She was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment. If found guilty of the misdemeanor charges, the defendant faces up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000 for each charge, police said.
