Putnam Sheriff's Deputy Released From Hospital After Stabbing
Sheriff's Office Deputies responding to a disturbance in Putnam Valley Jan. 20 were confronted by a man wielding a knife.
PUTNAM COUNTY, NY â A Putnam Sheriff's Deputy who was stabbed during an altercation in Putnam Valley has been released from the hospital, Sheriff Robert Langley reports.
The deputy suffered a severed artery and had to undergo two surgeries.
Sheriff's Office Deputies had responded to a disturbance at a residence in Putnam Valley at 10 a.m. Jan. 20. When they arrived, a man confronted them with a knife. One deputy was seriously injured and had to be taken to New York Presbyterian-Hudson Valley Hospital Center for emergency surgery.
