Putnam Woman Killed In Connecticut Crash

Visitation and funeral services are scheduled for this week in Carmel.

NEWTOWN, CT — A Putnam County woman died in a single-car crash Thursday night in Connecticut.

Jessica Bulfaro, 27, of Carmel worked as a human resources manager in Sandy Hook, according to her obituary.

She was driving her 2021 Subaru Impreza east on Berkshire Road in Newtown between Sherman Street and Zoar Road when she veered off the road and struck two utility poles, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was born in White Plains Aug. 22, 1996, to Stephen and Jeanette Santorelli Bulfaro.

A visitation is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Cargain Funeral Home, 10 Fowler Ave. in Carmel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. James the Apostle Church in Carmel.
