Ramp From Westbound I-84 To I-684 To Close More Nights: Update

UPDATE — Due to material supply delay, the state Department of Transportation has changed the schedule for the ramp closure from westbound Interstate 84 to Interstate 684 — Exit 68 — adding Thursday and Sept. 30 for bridge joint repair and asphalt overlay replacement.

The detour via I684 NB Exit 10 and Rte 202 will be in effect prior to the closure. NYSDOT contractor ECCO III will maintain the detour as necessary.

SOUTHEAST, NY — The ramp from westbound Interstate 84 to Interstate 684 — Exit 68 — will close weeknights certain days for road repairs.

The work will be done between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Sept. 28, weather permitting.

Motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Exit 69 — State Route 202/U.S. Route 6 — to get to I-684 and head south.

Remember, slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your drivers license.
