Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) released the following statement in response to the violent attacks at Atlanta-area massage parlors that killed eight people on Tuesday night.

“Randy and I are praying for the victims of last night’s mass shooting in Atlanta. Our hearts go out to their families and loved ones.
“These attacks come at a time when anti-Asian violence is spreading like a disease in America. Let me be clear: this is a man-made crisis. The former President and his enablers used fear of COVID-19 and its origins to engender intolerance and hate and gave a platform to racist, bigoted terminology and assumptions about the pandemic.
