Robber Impersonates Cop on the Taconic Parkway

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — New York State Police are searching for someone who impersonated a policeman and robbed a driver on the Taconic Parkway at gunpoint, according to the Daily Voice.

The incident took place early Wednesday. The victim was stopped on the side of the road in Putnam Valley when a man described by police as white with short hair, a dark mustache and wearing a black jacket, got out of a Ford Crown Victoria flashing red grille lights, brandished a gun and demanded his wallet and cell phone.
