Save the Date: Putnam's Best Chefs and Fine Wines Event
Sept. 15 at the Putnam County Golf Course to benefit the United Way

The region’s best culinary experts will demonstrate their talents and provide mouth-watering dishes at United Way of Westchester and Putnam’s annual Putnam Best Chefs and Fine Wines event. The event will be held on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014 at Mahopac’s Putnam County Golf Course from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Proceeds will help United Way achieve its goals of improving Putnam children’s lives, educating the community on healthy lifestyle choices, building community gardens and steering teens away from dangerous behaviors such as drug and alcohol abuse.

The event draws food and wine lovers from all over the region, who come to enjoy samples from the area’s best restaurants and take in the beautiful scenery. This year, Garrison composer and keyboardist Art Labriola and his group will be providing live music.
“This event celebrates the tremendous culinary quality and diversity of Putnam County,” said Alana Sweeny, President and CEO of United Way of Westchester and Putnam. “We’re lucky to have so many talented chefs in our county. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is exciting, and Best Chefs is a great opportunity to have fun while really making a difference in Putnam.”

At this year’s event, United Way will honor Putnam Hospital Center for its 50-year commitment to the health and well-being of Putnam residents.
Event attendees will enjoy cuisine from some of the county’s finest food establishments, including: b.bakery!; Clocktower Grill Kitchen & Bar; Chloe Madison Creations; Gino’s Trattoria; and many more. Offerings will be paired with tastings of fine wines from around the world provided by Depot Wine & Liquors of Brewster, and great beers from Yonkers Brewing Co. and Brewster’s Bull & Barrel Brew Pub.
There will also be a silent auction, with the proceeds to benefit programs in Putnam.
Featured sponsors providing support for the culinary evening include AkzoNobel, Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, Ace Endico, Putnam County Tourism and the Pulte Group.
Putnam County Golf Course is located at 187 Hill Street in Mahopac. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door. Sponsorship opportunities start at $275.
