UPDATE: Route 22 Reopened After Serious Crash

UPDATE: Route 22 in Putnam County between NY 311 and NY 164 reopened at 11 a.m. after investigation and clean-up of a serious accident that occurred at about 7 a.m.

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — Route 22 was closed in both directions between Route 311 and Route 164 as of 7 a.m. due to a serious accident. The closure could last for up to 4 hours in the town of Patterson.

The detour for motorists driving north is NY 164 to NY 311 and back onto NY 22. Southbound, the detour is NY 311 to NY 164 and back onto NY 22.
