Service for Mae Cunniff, 102

Mae O. (nee O’Brien) Cunniff, 102, of Carmel, NY passed away on December 8, 2016 with her family by her side.

Mrs. Cunniff was born on April 20, 1914 to the late, Jack and Julia (Daly) O’Brien in Yonkers, New York.

Before Mae retired, she was employed by Con Edison as a Customer Service Representative in NYC. She enjoyed working and her strong work ethics were to be admired.

She is survived by her loving son, Ron Hicks; her four cherished grandchildren; MaryEllen (David) Odell of Carmel, Michelle Hicks (Ralph) of Carmel, Laura Hicks (Gary Prato) of Croton Falls and Brian (Stacey) Hicks of Pound Ridge; and five adoring great-grandchildren, Hope, David, Connor, Aidan and Logan, all of whom she adored and each child held a special place in her heart. She will be dearly missed by all, yet her legacy of love, working hard, devotion to family and friends will continue to grow in our hearts.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James the Apostle R.C. Church, 12 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512. A private cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to: Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam, 540 White Plains Rd # 300, Tarrytown, NY 10591 or Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
