Services for Antonio “Pipa” Sottile
Antonio embarked for America at age 15 with his mother and two siblings.

Antonio “Pipa” Sottile, age 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18, 2018, at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. He was born on November 13, 1942, in Castellammare del Golfo, Italy, to Ignazio and Maria Sottile.
Antonio embarked for America at age 15 with his mother and two siblings, Paolina and Santo, after his father decided to stay in America when the Andrea Doria ocean liner sank during his trip visiting relatives.
Antonio worked for nearly 50 years as a mason, fulfilling the American dream, and selflessly built a wonderful home for his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his caring wife Marjorie, his three beautiful daughters, Melissa, Monica, and Marla, his son Anthony, whom he lovingly referred to as “Big Guy,” and his six grandchildren, Russ, Niki, Gabby, Sean, Declan and Devlan. Antonio was an exceptionally devoted and passionate man who always put his family first and approached life’s challenges with dignity, brilliance and grace.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 24th, from 4pm to 8pm at Beecher’s Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, New York. Anyone is welcome to visit and pay their respects.
