Services are Oct. 30 for Clarence Penny

Clarence Orrin Penny, known as Bunky or Shorty by most, of Dover Plains, NY, died at Putnam Hospital Center on October 26, 2014. He was 82 years old.

Mr. Penny was born December 14, 1931 in Danbury, CT, son of the late Harry and Edith (Gage) Penny. He graduated from Brewster High School and served with the US Navy during the Korean War.

On February 25, 1961 Clarence married Jane A. Billetter at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brewster, NY. She predeceased him February 25, 1994.

Bunky was a vice president of Hypotronics in Brewster, NY, working for them for over 35 years before retiring.

Shorty lived in Brewster his entire life before moving to Dover Plains 23 years ago. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Brewster. In his younger years he was an avid sports fan. His family was everything to him; he was a dedicated father and grandfather.

Mr. Penny is survived by his three children; Mark (Mark) of NYC, NY, John (Carla) of Poughquag, NY and Diana (Dennis) of Brewster, NY, and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two brothers and one sister

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday October 30, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2103 Route 6, Brewster. Interment will follow at Milltown Rural Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY on Wednesday October 29, 2014 from 4pm-8pm.
