Sons of the American Legion Post Donates TV to Vets
Proceeds from the February breakfast bought the TV for the Putnam Co. Vincent Leibell Veterans Home. The next breakfast is March 6.
Members of the Sons of the American Legion Post 1080 Mahopac donated a big Smart TV for the residents of the Putnam County Vincent Leibell Veterans Home in Carmel.
The new TV was installed in the home’s community room Sunday for all of the veterans to enjoy, according to a release from Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell.
This donation was made possible from the well-supported February breakfast the Sons held on Super Bowl Sunday.

The Sons’ monthly breakfast fundraiser is open to the public and proceeds are donated back to the community in various ways. The March 6 breakfast proceeds will go to the post’s scholarship fund, Mike Armistead wrote on the Facebook page.
