'Soulmates' Show at Tilly’s Table Sparks Marriage Proposal

He conspired with the restaurant staff.

BREWSTER, NY – Mahopac resident Michelle Magaletto got treated to more than dinner and a show on Saturday. Nicholas Murphy got down on one knee and proposed to the 27-year-old at the performance by the Soulmates at Tilly’s Table, the restaurant and event venue at Putnam County's Tilly Foster Farm.

She accepted.

The staff at Tilly’s Table assisted Murphy with his surprise. “We were delighted to help Nick make that evening even more special for the two of them,” said Meagan Hartnett, Tilly’s Table manager.

Tilly's Table, a farm-to-table restaurant and catering venue at Tilly Foster Farm, opened in mid-2017. It began a new chapter at the historic property as the latest public-private partnership for Putnam County. It showcases local culinary talents and features ingredients grown in the Hudson Valley.

Tilly’s Table is open for dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights starting at 5 p.m; Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Sunday dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. It also regularly hosts events and entertainment as well as private affairs. “Congratulations to Nick and Michelle on their engagement,” said County Executive MaryEllen Odell in an announcement about the engagement. “May they be sources of strength and comfort for one another as they build their lives together.”

Tilly's Table is located on Tilly Foster Farm, 100 Route 312 in Brewster.
