Our call for responses on Facebook brought out some beautiful New York snark.

Patch posted a question on Facebook asking "When you tell people that you live in New York, what's the first thing they say?" Fourteen readers of Southeast-Brewster Patch answered, and their responses are pretty funny — typical of New Yorkers, right?

One person highlighted the classic and boring autobiographical response: "I was in NY once (blah blah story of visiting Manhattan for a week, once 20 years ago)."
