State Cop Stole Landscaping Equipment: Internal Affairs

The trooper is a Brewster resident assigned to the Somers barracks.

The Internal Affairs Bureau of the New York State Police has arrested Marko Kos, 35, for Grand Larceny 3rd degree, a class D Felony.

Kos is a New York State Trooper assigned to the Somers Barracks.

Kos was arrested March 2 for his role in the theft of about $22,000 in landscaping equipment that was reported stolen to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office on September 25, 2014.

State police said the theft occurred while Kos was off duty.

Kos entered the Division of State Police in September of 2003, and has served in Troop K since that time. He lives in Brewster.

Kos has been suspended without pay and is currently awaiting arraignment in the Town of Southeast Court.
