Strange Public Lewdness Incident At Putnam Lake Leads To Arrest Of CT Man: Sheriff
A woman reported that while walking her dogs, a man in a gray SUV allegedly exposed himself while making vulgar remarks, authorities said.
TOWN OF PATTERSON, NY — A day at the lake turned into a bad scene for all involved, according to authorities.
Putnam County Sheriff Brian Hess says that 39-year-old Craig A. Kropa, of New Fairfield, Connecticut, was arrested after an investigation into a public lewdness complaint in the Town of Patterson.
On June 10, members of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office responded to the Putnam Lake area after a woman reported that while she was walking her dogs on Lakeshore Drive, a man driving a gray SUV pulled alongside her and allegedly exposed himself while making vulgar remarks.

Deputies took a witness statement and reviewed video surveillance footage from the area. After the investigative efforts conducted by Patrol and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Kropa was then identified as the suspect.
He was then taken into custody in connection with the incident, and charged with misdemeanor public lewdness. Kropa was arraigned in the Town of Patterson Justice Court and released on his own recognizance.
