Sunny Saturday, Uncertain Sunday: Putnam's Weekend Weather

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — If you like warm weather, this is your weekend. At least it's your Saturday. As for Sunday, unsettled weather looks to return to Brewster and Southeast.

We'll get a chance to open our windows Friday and Saturday, with mild temps and diminishing chances for rain! It'll be good sleeping weather, with lows in the 5os. Saturday in particular is predicted to be hot and sunny, possibly even hitting 80 degrees.

Then the forecast becomes unsettled again.

"Sunday is a tricky day… with clouds possibly moving in from the north," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

Areas of fog early, then patchy fog this morning. Cloudy with a chance of showers early, then mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers this morning. Sunny this afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s. Southeast winds around 5 mph, becoming west. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight
Partly cloudy in the evening, then mostly cloudy with a chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the upper 50s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Saturday
Mostly cloudy in the morning, then becoming partly sunny. A chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 70s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming west with gusts up to 20 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Saturday Night
Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows around 50. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 20 mph in the evening. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday
Partly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cooler with highs in the lower 60s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming southeast in the afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.
