Suspended License, Registration Arrests; Drunk Driving: Carmel Police Blotter

The Carmel police department saw a host of drivers with suspended licenses or registrations, or no licenses at all in May.

CARMEL, NY — May was a busy month for the Carmel police and a lot of it was about drivers who shouldn't have been driving.

On April 28, Carmel Police arrested Kimberly Rodriguez, 34, a resident of California, after she was picked up by the New York State Police and it was determined that she had an active Arrest Warrant out of the Carmel Justice Court. She was arraigned by a judge and released on her own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 2, Carmel Police arrested a 23 year old Mahopac man after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident and investigation determined that he was operating his motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 3, Carmel Police arrested Jason Fell 43, of Mahopac after he was picked up by the New York State Police and it was determined that he had an active Bench Warrant out of the Carmel Justice Court. He was arraigned by a judge and released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 4, Carmel Police arrested Lennox Miller 41, of Carmel after Yorktown Police picked him up on an active Bench Warrant out of the Town of Carmel. Mr. Lennox was arraigned by Judge Spofford and remanded to PCCF on $500 cash bail.

On May 5, Carmel Police arrested an 18 year old Putnam Valley woman after she was stopped for a traffic violation and it was determined that she was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. She was charged with Suspended Registration, a misdemeanor. She was released on her own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 8, Carmel Police arrested James McNab 32, a homeless male receiving a complaint of a suspicious male it was determined that Mr. McNab had an active Arrest Warrant out of Yonkers City Court. Carmel PD officers detained the subject until he was picked up by Yonkers PD.

On May 12, Carmel Police arrested a 19 year old Mahopac man after officers stop to investigate asuspicious vehicle. Upon investigation it was determined that the defendant was operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended. He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, a misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 20, Carmel Police arrested Joseph Kuhar 23, of Mahopac after officers stopped him for traffic violations and investigation determined that he was operating his motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC Higher than .08. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 22, Carmel Police arrested a 39 year old male from Brewster after officers stopped him for traffic violations and investigation determined that he was operating his motor vehicle while his license was suspended. He was arraigned by Judge Spofford and remanded to PCCF $1000 cash bail.

On May 22, Carmel Police arrested a 34 year old Carmel man while officers were conducting a truck inspection and it was determined that the defendant was operating a vehicle while his license was suspended. He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 23, Carmel Police arrested an 52 year old Mahopac woman after she was stopped for a traffic violation and it was determined that she was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. She was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor. She was released on her own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 24, Carmel Police arrested a 23 year old Brewster man after officers stop to investigate a suspicious vehicle. Upon investigation it was determined that the defendant was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. He was charged with Suspended Registration, a misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 26, Carmel Police arrested a 24 year old Mahopac man after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident and investigation determined that he was operating his motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 27, Carmel Police arrested a 20 year old Katonah man after he was found driving his truck on town property causing damage to the soccer fields. He was charged with Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree, a misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 28, Carmel Police arrested a 18 year old Mahopac man after he fled the scene of a motor vehicle accident he was involved in and investigation determined that he was operating his motor vehicle without a driver’s license. He was charged with Unlicensed Operation, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Operating an Unregistered Vehicle, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle and Unsafe Backing, all Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 29, Carmel Police arrested an 40 year old Mahopac man after he was stopped for a traffic violation and it was determined that he was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. He was charged with Suspended Registration, a misdemeanor. He was released on her own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 30, Carmel Police arrested a 37 year old Cortlandt man after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident and investigation determined that he was operating his motor vehicle with a suspended registration. He was charged with Suspended Registration, a misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 31, Carmel Police arrested Joshua Blumenstetter 32, of Mahopac after he turned himself in on an active Bench Warrant out of the Carmel Justice Court for Failure to Appear. He was arraigned by Judge Spofford and released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

On May 31, Carmel Police arrested a 42 year old Mahopac woman after she was stopped for a traffic violation and it was determined that she was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. She was charged with Suspended Registration, a misdemeanor. She was released on her own recognizance pending a future court date.
