Tax-Prep Volunteers Needed In Putnam County
Volunteers are trained through AARP to help taxpayers with annual incomes around $40,000 or below prepare their returns.
From Hudson Valley C.A.$.H. Coalition
Tax season will soon be here and Hudson Valley C.A.$.H. Coalition is looking for volunteers to help low- to moderate-income taxpayers file their taxes at four sites in Putnam County.
As a volunteer tax counselor, one would assist clients in preparing their Federal and State tax returns. Volunteers are required to complete 20 to 40 hours of daytime classroom and self-study education during December through the AARP Foundation, which is certified by the IRS.
