Former Bear Produces for College Team: Daily Sports Digest June 6

Welcome to Patch's daily snapshot of sports in Brewster.

Women's Lax

Brewster graduate Erin Taylor ('10) played in 18 games and started 16 of them in goal for Keene State College, according to its website.

In those 18 games, the Owls were 14-4. 

Taylor, who was named Oustanding Player of the —which the Owls won—made 163 saves on the season.

Girls Summer Basketball Open Gym

The below was taken from the Brewster Sports Center website:

Date: June 11, 18 and 25
Fee: Free
Time: 8 - 9:30 p.m.
Ages: 17 and up

• Our goal is to get four teams and have a summer league.
• If you are currently playing in college, don't let the summer pass you by without touching the ball especially if you want playing time when you return.
• Why drop the basketball after high school graduation especially when you have played AAU for the last couple of years.
• Why not stay in shape—have some fun even though you are in college and don't play anymore.
• If you are out of school, have a family and used to play, you can still join. We will place you on a team that meets your needs.
