Tilly Foster Farm No-Go for Southeast Fireworks Watchers
Not enough parking and too many hazards as the property is under construction, Putnam officials say.

Due to ongoing construction, the Tilly Foster Farm will not be used as a spectator location for the Town of Southeast Fireworks on July 3.
Putnam County officials said that while Tilly Foster was originally to be used as a secondary viewing location to Independent Way, continued renovations to the property have momentarily decreased parking as well as created a hazardous landscape.
Due to the hazards of construction, the large size of the anticipated crowd, and noise from the fireworks, it was decided that the event not take place in 2015 as a general safety measure to visitors and the farmβs animals. Beginning at 4 p.m., the farm will be closed to visitors as opposed to its normal 7 p.m. closing.
