Town Board Declares Crossroads Document Incomplete
Elected leaders say it's up to the applicant to resubmit the document, at his convenience.

Movement on the Crossroads 312 proposal, which calls for a hotel and retail shops to sit on 52 acres in Southeast, has slowed—at least for the moment.
The Southeast Town Board declared the draft environmental impact study (DEIS) associated with the pitch incomplete at a meeting Thursday night. Elected leaders told audience members that there is no set timeline for the continuation of the project, and it's up to the applicant when to resubmit the document.
The Town Board's deadline for a decision on the completeness of the document was last month, but the applicant agreed to a 30-day extension. Consultants representing the Town requested a significant number of additions and changes be made to the document.

Officials say that during the 30-day time period, the applicant's consultants met with the Town's and spoke about the revisions. Those meetings did not result in a complete document, as the Town Board vote for incompleteness was unanimous.

Councilwoman Elizabeth Hudak noted that the decision in no way changes elected leaders' "posture" on reviewing the plans. The DEIS is designed to act as a document on which members of the public can base their questions and comments.
