United For The Troops Offers Shopping List For August

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — Because of the ongoing outpouring of support, United For The Troops has become a monthly shipping powerhouse for the country's deployed military, says Jim Rathschmidt.

For August, you can help to "Bring A Little Comfort To Our Troops" by picking up items on this abbreviated wish list and dropping then off ASAP for a packing day at the end of the month.

Shopping list (16 oz or less):

• peanut butter
• tuna or chicken in cans or pouches
• canned chili, stew and pasta
• canned fruit
• microwave mac 'n cheese
• pop tarts
• instant individual oatmeal
• tea, hot chocolate, instant drink mixes
• mouthwash
• non-aerosol sunblock

Also cards and letters wishing them well are so very important.
