Victims of 2-Car Crash are Carmel, Dutchess Residents
The critically injured passenger remains hospitalized.

The crash on Route 6 Nov. 19 that sent seven people, including two children, to the hospital, involved a family from Carmel and a family from Amenia in Dutchess County, said Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith.
The driver of the Toyota sedan, who tried to turn left onto northbound Route 22, was Samuel Valasquez Giron, 40, of Amenia. Sitting next to him in the front passenger seat was Magdalana Guzman, 60. In the back seat were Elva Mejia, 42, and Christian Valasquez, 4.
The driver of the Toyota minivan that broadsided the sedan was Christi L. Browne-Sibrizzi, 34, of Carmel. Her passengers were Joan A. Brown, 60, and Jack Sibrizzi, aged 2 1/2 months.

Guzman, who was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla from the accident scene, remains there in critical condition with internal injuries, police said.
The others were taken by ambulances to Danbury Hospital. All were expected to be released by Nov. 20.

The investigation is continuing, Smith said.
