HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Each week, Patch will be highlighting volunteer opportunities in the Lower Hudson Valley, courtesy of Volunteer New York!. This is a chance to help your community and an opportunity to give back — perhaps in a way you didn't consider before.
This week, we are putting the spotlight on some opportunities in the Hudson Valley.
Board Members
The Garrison Art Center welcomes board members with experience in areas such as finance, law, marketing, fundraising, arts administration, architecture, and community engagement. A love of the arts and strong connections in the community are especially valuable. Board members must be 28+.

Volunteers are needed to assist with the annual Sleepy Hollow Half-Marathon. Choose from a variety of activities and shifts, including setting up and cleaning up; registering and checking in runners; distributing T-shirts, refreshments, and medals; and more. Great for volunteers 16+.

Westchester Parks Foundation is partnering with Grow Torah for the largest cleanup of the Bronx River Reservation of the year! Volunteers stroll the pathway collecting litter at their own pace. GrowTorah will also facilitate optional learning sessions on the importance of protecting our waterways through relevant Torah texts. All volunteers are welcome to join!

Travel Unity is seeking volunteers who love traveling to complete small research projects or to tell stories about travelers they interview.
