Waterbury Woman Charged After I-84 Traffic Stop
State police pulled her over Sunday in Southeast.

SOUTHEAST, NY — A Waterbury, Connecticut resident is due in a New York court after state police said they found cocaine in her car.
New York State Police from the Brewster barracks conducted a traffic stop on I-84 in Southeast. They said they found probable cause to search the car while interviewing the driver, Marquita D. Hinnant, 33.

The search yielded about 21 grams of crack cocaine, they allege.

Hinnant was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, arraigned before the Town of Southeast Justice Court and sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
She is next scheduled to appear before the Town of Southeast Justice Court Oct. 12.
