Weekend Weather: Everything in Moderation

Seasonable temperatures in the 70s might be offset by a few showers and thunderstorms, but in general the next three days look to be quite pleasant.

“The weekend looks to kick off with sunshine and even some seasonably warm temperatures,” said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

Here’s the forecast from the National Weather Service for Putnam County:

• Friday-Cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the morning... Then partly sunny in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 70s. East winds around 5 mph...becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.
• Friday Night-Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers. Lows in the upper 50s. Southeast winds around 5 mph...becoming northwest around 5 mph after midnight.
• Saturday-Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 20 mph in the afternoon.
• Saturday Night-Mostly clear. Lows around 50. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
• Sunday-Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 70s.
• Sunday Night-Mostly cloudy. Lows in the mid 50s.
