Welcome New Interim Priest
Rev. Kristin C. Kopren: new Interim Priest at the Church of the Holy Communion, 1055 Route 6 in Mahopac

Rev. Kristin Kopren began serving as the Interim Priest at the Church of the Holy Communion on February 1, 2017. Mother Kristin conducted her first worship service February 5 as Interim Priest and will continue to serve the Church for at least six months.
Since the retirement of the Rev. Canon Claudia Wilson on June 30, 2016, the Church has been searching for an Interim Priest. Rev. Kopren’s primary work will be to provide pastoral and spiritual care for the parish family, to deepen their commitment to participating in God’s mission and to guide the church as it navigates the search process for a permanent Priest-in-Charge. Rev. Kristin Kopren is a graduate of Appalachian State University and General Theological Seminary. She has been serving various churches and Episcopal schools in the Diocese of New York for nineteen years.
The Church of the Holy Communion is an active congregation that seeks to build Christian community through worship, spiritual growth, and service. Every Sunday, the Holy Eucharist is celebrated at 8:00 AM and 10:15 AM. The 10:15 AM service is followed by a coffee hour in the parish hall. In addition to worship services, the Church also holds bi-weekly prayer meetings, has fellowship outings, collects for Putnam CAP pantry, and has an active Sunday School. Rev. Kopren and the congregation welcome visitors and new members. For further information, please call 845-628-6144. Visit our Facebook page and Website: www.holycommunionmahopac.org
