Wells Park Re-opens With Festivities May 15

Wells Park is set to reopen after its two-year facelift.
The Grand Opening May 15 is free and open to the public.
Village officials invite everyone to see the new playground, state of the art stage and movies-in-the-park area.

The event will also include comments by village Trustees and recognition of community members involved in the project. The day will finish up with a free concert, a bouncy house, and gourmet ice cream. Music will be provided by The Second Saturday Band.
Meanwhile, the village board and recreation department have drawn up a new guide with rental information, rules and regulations for Wells Park.

The guide is posted on the village website.
Friends of Wells Park reports that a picnic table has been donated. The group also sent a Facebook shout-out to Kevin and Judy Callahan for donating the new Wells Park sign.
"Because of the generous donations of so much time, equipment and materials, the Park has really come together. It is beautiful, and I can’t wait to get Wells Park open to the community," said Tom Boissonnault.
