Hazardous Weather: Freezing Rain, Patchy Ice

But temperatures could rise into the 50s in Southeast and Brewster by Sunday.

The biggest hazard tonight is freezing rain or drizzle, and icy spots on roads and walkways.

Then, Friday and Saturday temperatures in the daytime will be in the low 40s. By Sunday, look for low to mid-50s.

“Saturday night – Sunday AM, soaking rain is likely. Temps will be too warm for snow or ice,” says Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

But your furnace will have to crank back up soon.

According to AccuWeather Chief Long Range Meteorologist Paul Pastelok, “Blasts of cold air will sweep in over much of the Central and Eastern states next week.”
