Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Putnam
Slippery: I-84 and I-87 get a special shout-out from AccuWeather

BREWSTER, NY — The National Weather Service has issued an Winter Weather Advisory for Putnam, Rockland, Orange and northern Westchester counties.
It is in effect from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
"However, a second area of disturbance will push across the region this evening… and that could prolong light snow showers into the evening hours, before tapering off before midnight," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

The NWS predicts snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches from late this morning until early this evening in the lower Hudson Valley.

According to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski, travel along I-84 and I-87 in the lower Hudson Valley could be slow and slippery for a time during the midday, afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday.
