Saturday morning could be tricky for anyone out and about. The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Orange and Putnam counties for Saturday morning.
- WHAT...Freezing rain expected. The ice will result in very slippery conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges. Total ice accumulations of a light glaze are expected.
- WHERE...In New Jersey, Western Passaic County. In Connecticut, Northern Fairfield County. In New York, Orange and Putnam Counties.
- WHEN...From 4 AM to noon EST Saturday.
- ADDITIONAL DETAILS...In addition, a few tenths of an inch of sleet could fall during this time frame. The combination of a few hundredths of an inch of ice and the sleet will make travel difficult late tonight and Saturday morning, especially on untreated and elevated surfaces.
