Winter Wonderland Theater Workshop & Showcase
7-week workshop Monday, October 27th thru December 8th - Showcase on December 14th. Session 1 for ages 5-10 & Session 2 for ages 11+.
The Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition’s Studio Around the Corner is offering a Winter Wonderland Theater Workshop & Showcase. The 7-week workshop begins on Monday, October 27th and runs until December 8th. Two 45-minute sessions are available. Session 1 for ages 5-10 starts at 4pm and will cover basic acting, drama and theater concepts, as well as play theater games. Session 2 for ages 11 and up starts at 4:45pm will cover creating characters, building confidence and developing independent thinking. Students in both sessions will be working on winter stories and tales to present at a Winder Wonderland Showcase on Sunday December 14 at 3pm at the Studio Around the Corner 67 Main St. Suite 101 in Brewster, NY. Instructor Margaret Carey is a local theater teacher and director. She is a member of the NYS Theater Education Association. Pre-registration is required by October 22nd.
