Work Starts Monday on Route 311 Bridge over the Croton River East Branch
The state DOT will reduce traffic to one-lane, alternating directions, while work is being done Aug. 20-Nov. 30 on the bridge.

Travel on Route 311 will be a little tricky for the next three months.
The New York State Department of Transportation will reduce the State Route 311 bridge over the East Branch of the Croton River to alternating one-lane traffic for construction activities beginning Monday.
The bridge is in Patterson between Burdick Road and State Route 22.

Weather permitting, both lanes will be reopened to traffic by Nov. 30.
Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including work zone signs and flaggers.

Travelers are also reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver’s license.
