Work Week Weather: Cooling Down
If you're driving south from Brewster, be warned that Westchester may experience dense fog today.

The Brewster area will experience some lower temperatures this week, the National Weather Service says.
By Wednesday, temperatures should only rise into the low 50s. And by Friday, the high may only be in the high 40s.
Today, the National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for Rockland and Westchester counties:

THE COMBINATION OF A WARM...MOIST AIRMASS...AND LIGHT WINDS HAS RESULTED IN AREAS OF FOG DEVELOPING. SOME OF THIS FOG WILL BE LOCALLY DENSE...AND MAY BECOME WIDESPREAD LATER THIS MORNING. A DENSE FOG MAY BE NEEDED LATER THIS MORNING. BE ALERT FOR RAPIDLY LOWERING VISIBILITIES...SLOW DOWN...AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.
“Look at these temperatures… forecast highs around 20° above average!” said Bill Potter from Hudson Valley Weather. “Also worth mentioning, is the record high of 58° is very much in jeopardy. We’ll keep an eye on it… but don’t be surprised if that record falls on Monday.”

However, HVW says, a cold - well, colder - front is coming overnight.
