• Several people displaced after fire destroys two-family home in New City (pressconnects.com) — Spring Valley firefighters joined neighboring departments to battle a major early-morning blaze that destroyed a two-family home in nearby New City, displacing at least six residents. Crews from Hillcrest, New City, Spring Valley and Nanuet spent over an hour knocking down the fire, with no injuries reported and the Red Cross now helping affected adults and a child.
