23-year-old Goes Missing In Sunset Park: Cops

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN —Police are asking the public's help to find a 23-year-old that has gone missing in Sunset Park.

Lucas Mendez was last seen on Wednesday, Feb. 20 leaving his apartment building on 56th Street at 9 a.m., police said. He has since been reported missing.

Mendez lived in the apartment building at 275 56th Street and was last seen wearing a dark gray sweater, gray sweatpants and blue sneakers. He stands about six feet, weighs approximately 250 pounds and has a ponytail hair style, police said.

Update: As of Monday afternoon, Lucas Mendez was located and is safe, according to police.
