BROOKLYN, NY — The MTA has unveiled new renderings of the proposed Interborough Express, or IBX, that would connect Queens and Brooklyn.
The $5.5 billion light rail project would build 18 new stations and would run 14 miles from the Brooklyn Army Terminal to Roosevelt Avenue.
The IBX would also feature connections to 17 subway lines and the Long Island Rail Road.
The MTA has said they will make accessibility upgrades at three subway stations that connect to the IBX.
The IBX does not have an official completion date, but officials are hoping to have it operational in the 2030s.
