Man Tried To Rob Bank In Sunset Park: Cops

The suspect brought a note to the Chase Bank demanding money, police said.

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a bank Wednesday, but ultimately ran away without any money.

The man came into the Chase Bank on 5th Avenue around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police said. He showed a note demanding cash, but then fled the bank without any money.

Police described him as a white man in his mid-30s, who is about 5'7" with black hair. A photo taken by surveillance cameras shows the man wearing jeans, a black jacket and a black hat.
