Pedestrian Hit By Car On 62nd Street In Sunset Park

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN --A pedestrian was hit by a car on 62nd Street this morning, FDNY officials said.

The pedestrian was hit on 62nd Street near 5th Avenue. FDNY officials said he was sent to the hospital, but that his condition was unknown. The injuries did not appear to be life threatening, officials said that morning.

A Twitter user who took a picture of the accident described the pedestrian as an older man.

"Horrifying. An older man was just hit by a car on 62nd street in Brooklyn. Praying that he will be OK," the twitter user said.
