Here are the top 3 stories today in Sunset Park:

  1. On the day after Christmas, a 41-year-old woman walking on a Brooklyn street with her two children was attacked and slashed in the stomach by an unknown man in what appears to be a random attack. The attack occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday in the vicinity of 45th Street and 8th Avenue in Sunset Park. The victim was taken to Lutheran Medical in stable condition.(WABC-TV)
  2. Industry City in Sunset Park is a place in New York City where if you got an oddball idea for a sophisticated tech-aided product or service, there is likely room for you. Steve Giralt, CEO of The Garage, a firm that helps major restaurant chains make TV commercials, recently shared his thoughts on why Industry City attracts creative tenants. (Commercial Observer)
  3. 2021 was a year that was out of the ordinary across the Empire State, as COVID-19 and vaccine-related stories continued to dominate the headlines, Governor Andrew Cuomo stepped down amid a sexual harassment scandal, and the state was hit by numerous storms through 2021. But that's not even some of the weirdest news. Here are some of the odder stories that may or may not have slipped under the radar. (wpdh.com)
