SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — Local city Councilman Carlos Menchaca brought in a few extra thousand dollars by moonlighting as a model last year, according to his finances.

The councilman — who represents Red Hook, Sunset Park, Greenwood Heights and parts of Windsor Terrace, Dyker Heights and Borough Park — brought in $1,000 to $5,000 for posing for the agency Extreme Reach Talent, The New York Post first reported.

The side-gig was one of a few interesting ways the Post found that council members brought in some extra cash in their 2018 financial disclosure forms.

Queens Councilman Eric Ulrich brought in up to $48,000 from gambling winnings in the state lottery for the fourth year in a row. Ulrich told the Spot that he wins by playing the penny slot machines at Resorts World Casino in Queens. He once won more than $28,000 from one machine last year, he said.

Bronx Councilman Ruben Diaz Sr. also brought in some extra income in the form of cash gifts for his 75th birthday, the Post said. The councilman claimed between $3,000 and $15,000 in gifts from the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization, Shalom Christian Church and Christian Community Neighborhood Church.
