Sunset Park Woman Raped And Robbed At Gunpoint, Police Say

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for the man who raped and robbed a Sunset Park woman at gunpoint on Friday.

The man knocked on the 34-year-old woman’s front door, near 52nd Street and Seventh Avenue, at about 1 a.m. Friday, police said.

When the woman opened the door, the man rammed his way into the apartment, whipped out a handgun and raped her, said police.

The suspect then grabbed $500 in cash, tied the woman up with a sweater and ran from the apartment, according to police.

The woman freed herself and called 911, police said.

Police are now looking for a man in his 30s, standing 5-foot 8-inches tall who has tattoos on his left arm and carries a messenger bag.
