Woman Found Dead Inside Brooklyn Apartment

BROOKLYN, NY — A woman was found dead inside a Brooklyn apartment on Monday, police said.

Officers responded to a building on 79th Street near Third Ave. in Bay Ridge around 9:30 a.m. and found a 59-year-old woman with head trauma.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is not known at this time what led up to the woman's death.

The city’s medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

An investigation remains ongoing.
