1 Dead, 2 Hurt In Nassau Crash

BREAKING: The crash occurred Friday night, police say.

WOODBURY, NY – An 82-year-old man was killed and two other people were injured in a single-car crash in Nassau County Friday night, police said.

According to Nassau Police, a 20-year-old man was driving a Honda Accord east on Woodbury Road across from Verna Way in Woodbury when the car left the roadway and struck a wooden utility pole at about 10:21 p.m.

The driver and two passengers, 82-year-old Jaffer Abdulrazak and a 54-year-old woman, were transported to the hospital, where Abdulrazak, of Woodbury, was pronounced dead shortly after midnight, police said. The driver and the female passenger, who police did not identify, suffered unspecified injuries. Their conditions are unclear.
