10 Syosset Schools Rank Among New York State's Best

SYOSSET, NY — Niche.com released its annual rankings of best schools across the nation, and parents of students of the Syosset Central School District will be pleased to see where 10 district schools ended up in New York State.

Here are the best schools in the area and their rankings:

• Syosset Senior High School — ranked 9th best public high school in New York.
• H.B. Thompson Middle School — ranked 2nd best public middle school in New York.
• South Woods Middle School — ranked 4th best public middle school in New York.
• South Grove Elementary School — ranked 2nd best public elementary school in New York.
• Village Elementary School — ranked 4th best public elementary school in New York.
• A.P. Willits Elementary School — ranked 7th best public elementary school in New York.
• Robbins Lane Elementary School — ranked 14th best public elementary school in New York.
• Walt Whitman Elementary School — ranked 15th best public elementary school in New York.
• J. Irving Baylis Elementary School — ranked 17th best public elementary school in New York.
• Berry Hill Elementary School — ranked 23rd best public elementary school in New York.

Syosset Central School District also ranked as the third best school district in New York State.

Each New York district received a letter grade in the following categories: academics; diversity; teachers; college prep; clubs & activities; health & safety; administration; sports; food; and resources & facilities.
