5 Captured In Nassau County Burglary Spree: Police

Detectives say those arrested are connected to nine home invasions since November.

NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Five people have been charged in connection to a burglary spree in Nassau County. Nine homes were broken into from November through January.

Yefferson Camero-Alzate, 29; Edinson Henao-Vera, 37; Hotstyn Barrera-Perico, 25; Yessica Lorena Garcia Ahumada, 24 and Ana Ortiz Zamora, 47, all of Queens were arrested Wednesday night for burglary.

An investigation by police determined that they were responsible for the following burglaries:

  • Nov. 11: Mead Lane residence, Westbury
  • Nov. 24: Georgia Drive residence, Syosset
  • Dec. 11: Southwood Circle residence, Syosset
  • Dec. 21: Scott Street residence, Herricks
  • Dec. 23: Horizon Drive residence, Lake Success
  • Dec. 23: Links Drive residence, Lake Success
  • Jan. 4: Old Field Lane residence, Lake Success
  • Jan. 5: Candy Lane residence, Syosset
  • Jan. 27: Holly Drive residence, Syosset
