SYOSSET-WOODBURY, NY — Camp counselors are in need at the summer GAP program in Woodbury and Massapequa.
The Town of Oyster Bay is hiring counselors for the day camp, which is designed for developmentally disabled children and young adults ages five to 21 years old.
Supervisor Saladino said the GAP program encourages socialization in a group setting.
"With the support and encouragement of our excellent staff, participants develop friendships that extend well beyond the program," he said.
The camp will be from June 29th to August 7th at two park locations — Marjorie Post Park in Massapequa, and Syosset-Woodbury Park in Woodbury.
"By becoming a counselor for the Town’s GAP program, you’ll help to create a supportive and empowering environment where every camper can shine," Councilman Andrew Monteleone said.
