Boy, 11, Airlifted After 'Serious' LIE Crash In Jericho, 3 Others Injured: Police

NCPD says the boy is suffering a serious leg injury after the Sunday evening crash.

JERICHO, NY — An 11-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital after a crash on Sunday evening in Jericho, police said.

Nassau County police said that on May 10 at 5:58 p.m., a 2013 Toyota Highlander was involved in a crash with a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban while traveling eastbound on the Long Island Expressway near exit 41.

The 36-year-old male driver of the Chevrolet Suburban and two passengers, a 32-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy, were all transported by NCPD ambulance to a nearby hospital, police said.

Another passenger from the same car, the 11-year-old boy, was airlifted by Nassau County Aviation Helicopter 6 to a local hospital for treatment of a serious leg injury, NCPD said.

According to police, no other injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
